As the title implies, the material is used to “fill-in” pock marks, furrows, folds and wrinkles on your face, to elevate these pock marks, furrows, folds and wrinkles and level then with the surrounding skin and tissues to make the skin look smooth and even. The material used is Hyaluronic acid – a synthetic material of the naturally organic component of collagen – the building blocks of tissues and their repair. At present the filler has expanded in its potential use and has been transformed to giving volume to certain areas in the face which naturally becomes depleted of cells and tissue components as we age – to attain the “fullness” of the face that we had in our youth. Hyaluronic acid fillers can also be used to temporarily augment your nose, your lips, your cheeks and chin. Fillers usually lasts anywhere from eight months to a year.
